I would like to celebrate and honor some of the people that have made my life and the life of my parents special. As I call you, please come up and help me light a candle.

1. First I would like to light a candle for those that are no longer here with us, like my grandfather on my father’s side, Max Tesler and all other people that were dear to us and will be missed. 1 Memories
2. Next, I would like to invite the wise owls of the group. My grandma Sue, Nana Nancy Tesler, Jerry Adler and Maria Veksler. A special thanks to Jerry for the tallit he passed on to me, as my Dad could not be bothered to get me a new one (just kidding) it was incredibly meaningful, and to Maria for coming out here all the way from New York. 2. 3. A special thanks to all of my aunts and uncles — Uncle Ken, Uncle Doug and Aunt Leslie (whom I used to call Duncle Ug and Aunt ZeeZee for some reason), Auntie Ann and also Allen and Lola. Thanks so much to both my Uncle Ken for traveling all the way from New York and to Uncle Doug and Aunt Leslie for coming out to celebrate with me from Colorado. Although they were probably just runnig away from their local bad weather and using my Bar Mitzvah as an excuse to come to sunny California. 3 its a family affair
4. Next, I would like to invite up all of my cousins: Melanie, Jake, Julia Rose, Noah, Gabby, Tucker and McKenzie. 4 Born to be wild
5. You saw my fake Uncles and Aunts, also known as my Funcles and Fants during my Bar Mitzvah ceremony. I call them fake uncles and fake aunts now because for the longest time, I had no idea I was not related to them! It was only a couple of years ago that I finally realized that Grace was NOT my actual cousin. You saw enough of them during the service, so, now I would like to invite up their offspring, also known as my fake cousins or “fuzins:” Zoe and Maddy, Sophie and Ella, Grace and Sarah, Sierra, Devon and Brody. Just as my funcles and fants play an important part in my life, all my fuzins ROCK!! They make up my extended family and I feel very lucky to get to see them so often. 5 what i like about you
6. I am especially lucky to still be friends with some guys I have known since I was in pre-school at Eureka Learning Center about a million years ago. So, next, I would like to invite up my oldest buddies, Avery and Hudson, who are still fun to get into trouble with…6 bad boys bob marley

Now, I would like to invite up someone to represent all my teachers, tutors and caregivers – my nanny Nan, who takes care of me after school and gets to see the dark side of me that not everyone wants to see – the grumpy after-school Ben who doesn’t want to do his homework and who isn’t at all friendly until he’s had at least three bean and cheese tacos! 10 Do you believe in magic
